Fascinated with the concept of “sculptural textures,” a composition of repeating minor forms to establish a pattern with shadowed depth, Sean experimented with various shapes before arriving at this design. The resulting deeply shadowed surface pattern is reminiscent of the carpet sea anemone. The tables are cast in resin, then placed in a kiln where they receive an oxidized finish. Each table will be unique, slight variation is to be expected.
