FontanaArte is a contemporary lighting collection featuring sconces, pendants, table and floor lamps, all created by renowned Italian, American and English designers from the mid-20th century to the present day.
Founded in 1932 by Architect Gio Ponti, FontanaArte was first distinguished by its inspiration of artistic stained glass windows. Driven by his intuition, Ponti designed and produced furniture, lamps and objects with glass as the main distinguishing feature.
By using glass, he realized what an enormous potential this material could offer in the making of furnishing accents for interiors. He used these new design elements to complement the interior decor of many of his own architectural projects.
